Can you take the water reservoir out of a camelbak backpack and just use it as a normal backpack?

i have never gone intense hiking or anything, and do not intend to use my camelbak backpack for any such activities, i am just going to use it for school and everyday carrying of objects, but my question is is whether or not you can just take out the water bladder part, so it is like a normal backpack. i found a camelbak that i really like the looks of and want to buy, so that is why i am asking.

the camelback is nice. but its a pain to fill up. the only good thing is that the more u drink the lighter it is.
yes u can take out the water bladder part. but its kinda small so i wont be able to put books in it.
but it’d be best to get a jansport backpack that u can put water and snacks and flashlights and bandaids and all that in for ur hiking.
